The Chicago Neuropsychology Group receives referrals from physicians (e.g., neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, etc,) for the purpose of documenting their patients’ cognitive and emotional concerns. Common conditions include: traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), dementia, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), stroke, epilepsy, and other chronic medical and psychiatric conditions. Results are used to assist in differential diagnosis, treatment planning, determinations of functional capacity (e.g., ability to live independently, manage financial affairs, make health-care decisions, etc.). Most insurance plans are accepted.
